Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CPCS or NPORS FLT/Telehandler to assist our Client on a new build housing site.
The Telehandler will be responsible for operating a telescopic handler to lift, move, and place bricks and materials on the construction site. This role requires a keen understanding of machinery and the ability to work in various outdoor conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety and efficiency while ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
Duties
* Operate the telehandler to lift and transport materials safely across the site.
* Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the telehandler to ensure optimal performance.
* Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate material handling tasks.
* Assist in loading and unloading materials from lorries and storage areas.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment as they arise.
* Engage in digging tasks as required, demonstrating versatility in job functions.
Experience
* Previous experience operating a telehandler is essential.
* A valid UK driving licence is preferred as you may be driving on roads.
* Strong mechanical knowledge is advantageous for performing maintenance tasks.
* Experience in construction or related fields will be considered an asset.
* A proactive approach to safety and an ability to work effectively under pressure are crucial for success in this role.
