Summary
Join our client as a UX Engineer and blend design thinking with front-end implementation skills to create accessible and intuitive user experiences. Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to implement neuroinclusive design principles. Design, prototype, and refine user interfaces; translate designs into functional front-end components; advocate for accessible design; work with developers to bridge design and implementation gaps; conduct user research and usability testing; optimize UI performance; and maintain and enhance the design system. This fully remote, flexible role offers equity options and the chance to shape a product that promotes workplace inclusivity. The ideal candidate will have strong UX/UI skills, proficiency in relevant technologies, and experience with accessibility standards and user research.
Requirements
1. Strong UX/UI skills, with a portfolio showcasing design systems, user flows, and prototypes in Figma
2. Proficiency in HTML, CSS (Tailwind or similar), JavaScript/TypeScript, and familiarity with React or another modern front-end framework
3. Experience with design tokens, component libraries, and scalable UI systems
4. Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA roles, keyboard navigation)
5. A collaborative mindset – able to work closely with engineers, product managers, and endusers
6. Experience with user research, usability testing, and iterative design processes
Responsibilities
7. Design, prototype, and refine user interfaces using Figma and other design tools
8. Translate UX/UI designs into functional front-end components using React (or Vue/Svelte) and CSS frameworks
9. Advocate for neuroinclusive and accessible design, ensuring WCAG compliance
10. Work alongside developers to bridge the gap between design and implementation
11. Conduct user research and usability testing to validate and iterate on designs
12. Optimize UI performance and responsiveness across various devices and screen sizes
13. Maintain and enhance our design system and component library
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with motion design, AI-driven UX, or Webflow/No-Code tools
