An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Bid Writer to join a reputable and growing construction contractor based in Worcester. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for creating compelling written content and a keen eye for detail, who thrives in a deadline-driven environment.
You’ll play a key role in producing high-quality, winning submissions across a range of sectors including education, healthcare, commercial and residential.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce high-quality written content for PQQs, ITTs, and other bid-related documents.
Interpret bid requirements and work with technical teams to develop responses that are bespoke, persuasive, and aligned with client expectations.
Coordinate bid content from various contributors and ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging.
Maintain and update a library of standard responses, case studies, and project information.
Support bid strategy meetings, win theme development, and presentation preparation.
Proofread and edit content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance.
Manage deadlines effectively and ensure timely submission of all bid documentation.
About You:
Previous experience as a Bid Writer, ideally within the construction or built environment sector.
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging content.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Word and PowerPoint); experience with InDesign or similar is a bonus.
Collaborative, proactive, and confident working across teams.
