About the Role As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Front End Software Engineer to help evolve our market-leading Servicing platform. You'll be involved in developing and enhancing the Phoebus Application using Angular, TypeScript, CSS, and testing frameworks such as Cucumber and Allure, all while following Google Material Design principles. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate closely within an Agile software development team (Scrum, Kanban etc) and with business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, user-centric products. Partner with Product Owners early in the development cycle to co-define solutions, rather than simply implementing predefined specifications. Work alongside Quality Assurance engineers to shift left, embedding quality throughout the development process and ensuring front-end engineering best practices are followed. Design, develop, and implement application features using Angular, with a focus on maintainability, performance, and accessibility. Deliver vertical slices of functionality, ensuring seamless integration and end-to-end value delivery. Participate in planning, estimation, and refinement activities to shape deliverables and align on priorities. Write clean, testable code with comprehensive unit and integration test coverage. Contribute to Agile ceremonies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and shared ownership. Produce clear, concise documentation and technical communication to support team understanding and maintainability. Identify and implement service and process improvements proactively. Be cross-functional when needed—supporting troubleshooting, environment management, product demos, and mentoring team members. Provide technical guidance and support to peers, promoting knowledge sharing and engineering excellence. Essential Experience & Skills: Financial awareness of delivering change in commercial environment Experience working within multiple Agile environments including hands on experience with frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, Lean etc Exceptional organisational and time management skills Demonstrable UI/UX design skills Demonstrable and extensive Javascript and Typescript and frameworks particularly Angular, a minimum of two years commercial experience Demonstrable HTML, CSS and Google Material Design experience Knowledge of Git Familiarity with CI or CD Demonstrated desire to learn new technologies, techniques and approaches Demonstrated ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, to achieve goals as agreed by within a self-directed team Excellent analytic skills and an ability to demonstrate critical thinking Desirable: Experience working in a regulated Financial Services Environment Full-stack development experience; understanding of Java MS-SQL Server Mongo or other NoSql DB technologies Phoebus Perks: Why work with us?
