We're recruiting for a Lecturer - Food to join our team on a full time, permanent basis.
The salary scale for this role is £25,494 - £44,526 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting, depending on qualifications and experience.
The Role;
Key responsibilities of our Lecturer - Food Studies.
* Plan and develops lessons, including the development of schemes of work
* Develop and implement learner-centred assessment methods, with focus on constructive and development feedback for our students
* Encourage, monitor and report on the attendance, progress and achievements of students
* Ensure safe working environments for students and colleagues, enforce health and safety standard in your area, ensuring all students understand and comply
* Undertake personal coaching and pastoral responsibilities for designated students in order to support them int heir own development and future progression
* Keep abreast of industry developments in your specialist area to ensure the relevance and continued employability of our students
* Actively participate in continuing professional development around theory and practice within the education sector
Our ideal Lecturer - Food Studies should have the following qualifications, skills and experience.
* Hold a teaching qualification and have experience of teaching in the Further or Higher Education sectors
OR
* Have a level 3 qualification in the subject relevant to the course you will be delivering, and be prepared to undertake a Further Education teaching qualification with our support, as part of our Passport to Teaching programme.
* Have recent and relevant experience of teaching food studies to learners from Entry Level to Level 3 with knowledge of food studies pathway.
All applicants should have good administrative skills and be able to accurately track students' attendance, progress and achievements.
