We are seeking a Level 5 Chemistry Laboratory Technician Apprentice to join our Supplements and Feeds team. This role is ideal for individuals interested in Chemistry or Environmental Science who are eager to learn and build a long-term career.
The Package
* Starting salary: £20,000 per annum (increasing to National Minimum Wage after 12 months if aged 18+)

Responsibilities
* Prepare analytical reagents and standards
* Follow SOPs and quality standards (ISO17025)
* Conduct extractions (solvent, Solid Phase, liquid-liquid)
* Operate and maintain lab instrumentation (LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, LC-HRAM)
* Interpret screening data and troubleshoot
* Maintain documentation and records
* Perform equipment maintenance
* Follow health and safety policies
Future Opportunities
Post-qualification, you may join the Register of Science Technicians (RSciTech). The apprenticeship provides a platform to develop knowledge in the chemical waste industry and leadership skills, with potential for a permanent role.
Candidate Profile
We seek individuals with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, good communication, and time management skills. Flexibility, adaptability, a passion for learning, and a respect for health and safety are essential. Candidates must have relevant A-level Chemistry and/or experience in the chemical industry, be aged 18+, and able to commute within 45 minutes. A driving license is preferred.

How the Apprenticeship Works
Over 28 months, you'll dedicate at least 6 hours weekly to training, combining virtual lessons, mentoring, and practical work. You'll earn a salary while gaining a Level 5 Laboratory Technician qualification, with expert support from Tiro and LGC Group.
Eligibility
You must be over 18, not in full-time education, have UK residency for 3 years, and the right to work in the UK. The program is designed for those needing upskilling or reskilling in the field.
