Responsibilities
* Lead delivery of evaluation and qualitative research projects in support of the team’s evaluation stream.
* Interpret user and business needs, ensuring analytical outcomes align with service vision and business strategy.
* Design and implement a range of evaluation techniques, including theory‑based and experimental approaches.
* Communicate insights to technical and non‑technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of business implications.
* Collaborate with diverse multidisciplinary teams, fostering an innovative environment to achieve shared goals.
* Support and mentor analysts, developing their evaluation and qualitative research skills.
* Line‑manage and mentor analysts as required.
Person Specification
* Recent experience in analytical/evaluation roles with a focus on evaluating projects.
* Demonstrable experience in scoping and delivering theory‑based, process or impact evaluation projects.
* Strong project management skills, with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Ability to interpret stakeholder needs, develop research questions, translate findings into actionable insights.
* Experience in data storytelling principles to develop a coherent narrative that influences decision making.
* Experience in at least two of the following: theory‑based evaluation, experimental evaluation, qualitative research design/analysis.
* Line management or mentoring experience.
* A willingness to take ownership of personal development.
* Knowledge of Value for Money evaluation and/or RCTs.

This role requires the successful candidate to hold or be willing to hold Security Check (SC) clearance.
