Telephone Protection Consultant (Business Development Manager)
Working Hours: Part‑time, job‑share or full‑time. Location: Swindon (Hybrid Working). Closing Date: 30th November 2025.
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Telephone Protection Consultant within Zurich’s ambitious Distribution team. You will initiate, develop, and maintain business relationships from your own panel of intermediary firms to exceed sales targets. The role is strategic and highly collaborative, requiring a proactive approach to identify opportunities and closing deals to drive protection sales.
What will you be doing?
* Be part of a supportive, fun, and challenging team with ambitious growth targets
* Create, develop, and manage relationships remotely with key intermediaries to promote Zurich and drive protection sales, ultimately growing our market share
* Demonstrate an understanding of how the intermediary business works, and how Zurich can partner with them
* Promote the Zurich proposition predominantly using remote distribution methods such as telephone, Microsoft Teams meetings, webinars and social media
* Stay at the forefront of market and industry developments when dealing with distributors
* Maintain product and market knowledge and apply it appropriately
Who are we looking for?
* An energetic, impactful candidate who wants to succeed in a supportive but challenging environment
* Ideally experienced in the protection industry or with an attitude to learn quickly
* Able to adapt communication style to each adviser’s individual needs
* Skilled at networking and building relationships via remote methods of contact
* Excellent organisational and planning skills
* Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented and resilient in a pressured environment
