The Service and Commissioning Engineer role is based at our facility in Great Yarmouth. It is responsible for after-sales service, routine maintenance, breakdown support and repair of all SIS supplied X-ray products, and for in-house and on-site commissioning of new systems.
Responsibilities
* Carry out routine service, maintenance, breakdown and repairs to inspection system products at customer sites in the UK and Ireland.
* Diagnose faults and recommend corrections and improvements where required.
* Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment, including development, commissioning and testing of electro-mechanical – radiation elements of X-ray products.
* Provide customer training in equipment preventative maintenance routines, fault finding and routine operation.
* Maintain stock X-ray equipment, demonstration systems and spare parts.
* Complete reports, RAMS documentation and other paperwork in line with quality management system and customer requirements.
* Be on call for out-of-hours support on a rotational basis as required by customers.
What we're looking for
* A broad background in electrical and mechanical engineering with hands-on skills.
* Competent in the safe use of electrical test and measurement equipment.
* Knowledge of QA and Safety management procedures.
* Full, clean UK driving license.
* Ability to obtain SC or DV security clearance.
* HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering.
* 18th Edition Electrical Qualification desirable.
Working hours
The basic working week is 39 hours: 8.5 hours Monday to Thursday, 5 hours Friday. Additional hours may be required when on site.
