Job Title: County Liaison Officer
Salary: £37,036 - £43,648 per annum
35 Hours per Week
Location: Wildwood, Wildwood Drive, Worcester WR5 2QT
Team: Highways & Transport Liaison
Permanent

Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity where you can be part of a driven, dynamic and supportive team? A role that’s flexible, varied and comes with great benefits? If so, we’d love to tell you more.

We’re on the lookout for an organised, enthusiastic and friendly Liaison Officer to join our Highways & Transport Liaison Team.

Our County Liaison Officers are ambassadors for Worcestershire County Council and the go‑to contacts for our elected County Councillors (Local Members) on anything related to the Economy & Infrastructure Directorate. In this role, you’ll take the lead in your own area, helping to manage, coordinate and deliver projects. You’ll work closely with Councillors and specialist colleagues to solve problems and keep things moving.

If you’re a confident communicator, this could be a fantastic fit. You’ll be the direct link between the Council and elected Members, building strong, positive relationships with people from all backgrounds. You’ll also offer guidance and support on major projects and day‑to‑day operational matters.

You’ll regularly work with external partners too, such as emergency services, MPs and members of the public, and you may sometimes attend stakeholder forums.

The successful candidate may occasionally be required to work out of hours to support major incidents, such as severe weather events.

In this role, you’ll help make sure Worcestershire County Council’s priorities and aspirations shape everything you do, always working in line with our policies and procedures.

The role is varied, interesting and full of opportunity, and no two days are the same. While it’s helpful to have some knowledge of Highways legislation, practices and procedures, if you bring the right skills, enthusiasm and attitude, then please get in touch.

You’ll be joining a friendly, supportive and welcoming team, all committed to delivering key projects that make a real difference across Worcestershire.

So, if you have a genuine ‘can do’ attitude, enjoy travelling around our beautiful county and love solving problems while keeping communication clear and timely, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
