GPN Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Buckinghamshire, who are looking to recruit an Audit Senior to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Audit Senior to join a supportive and technically strong firm offering exposure to a broad and interesting client portfolio, genuine responsibility and long-term progression opportunities.
The role will be approximately 70% audit and 30% accounts preparation, with the successful candidate taking ownership of audits from planning through to completion. The firm works with an impressive and diverse client base across a range of sectors including renewable energy, construction-related businesses, manufacturing, gaming, charities, professional services and waste management, with turnovers of up to £80m.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading audits from planning through to completion
Managing on-site audit fieldwork and acting as the main client contact
Reviewing and supervising junior staff where appropriate
Preparing statutory accounts under FRS102
Identifying risks and ensuring compliance with accounting and audit standards
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Supporting managers and partners with portfolio management
Qualifications and Skills:
ACA / ACCA qualified preferred, although Qualified by Experience candidates will also be considered
Strong UK practice experience within audit
Experience leading audits from planning to completion
Good communication and client-facing skills
Experience preparing statutory accounts is advantageous, although candidates with a purely audit background will also be considered
Motivated, organised and keen to progress within a growing firm
