Cloud Security Engineer (Mid / Snr) – FinTech
Oliver Bernard is working with an established, global FinTech / Investment firm based in London to take on a Mid or Senior level Cloud Security Engineer to help drive, scale, and secure the company’s Cloud estate.
As part of the engineering team, the incoming engineer will work on green‑field projects to improve security standards, practices, and processes across the Cloud platforms and collaborate closely with Developers, DevOps / Platform Engineers and Architects.
Responsibilities
* Drive and scale security standards, practices, and processes across Cloud platforms.
* Lead green‑field security projects.
* Collaborate with developers, DevOps/Platform engineers and architects.
Qualifications
* Wealth of experience in Security and/or DevSecOps capacities (at least 4‑5 years).
* Strong knowledge of Security practices, including Identity & Access Management.
* Hands‑on Cloud experience with GCP (AWS is also a nice to have).
* Experience and capability with IaC and Automation from a Cloud/DevOps perspective (Terraform and/or Ansible).
* Comfortable coding with Python and a background in software/development.
* Experience mentoring and coaching others from a Cloud Security perspective (bonus).
These Mid‑SNR openings offer a salary of £70‑100K, dependent on experience and seniority, and operate on an on‑site working model – office based 5 days per week.
