Job Overview
As a Mobile Electrical Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, safety and performance of essential electrical systems across multiple sites. Day-to-day, you'll deliver planned, preventive and corrective maintenance on a range of electrical plant and equipment, provide specialist technical support, ensure maintenance standards are met, and contribute to the smooth running of facilities across the region.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
* Providing maintenance support across site services, electrical plant, equipment and buildings
* Delivering specialist technical maintenance on electrical systems including building wiring
* Prioritising workloads to meet business needs
* Ensuring robust application of health, safety and environmental processes
* Participating in the on-call rota within the Maintenance Team
* Monitoring contractor activity and performance
* Experience delivering maintenance on electrical equipment, systems or plant
* Ability to operate across multiple sites and manage varied workloads
* Strong understanding of electrical regulations, standards and technical requirements
* Experience working both independently and within a team
* Ability to troubleshoot, solve problems and make sound decisions
* Competent in using Microsoft Office applications
* Electrical Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Maintenance
* Understanding of the latest edition of IEE Wiring Regulations
* Full clean driving licence

Role Details
This role is full-time, permanent, based at MoD Eskmeals, with travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites expected. QinetiQ operates state-of-the-art facilities across the UK that focus on defence, security and technology innovation. These facilities enable QinetiQ to conduct a wide range of research, testing and development activities that support both military and civilian applications helping to advance technology and support national security.
