Purpose of the Role
You will be a key member of the team whose overarching goal is to ensure 24/7 medical support across St Andrew’s and to ensure members of the medical body have the correct supporting information to ensure they are appropriately appraised and revalidated.
The post holder will have the following areas of responsibility:
* To provide operational support relating to the medical staffing function including the production and maintenance of medical on-call rotas and procurement of locum doctors via external locum agencies
* To provide an administrative support function to the medical body relating to appraisal and revalidation
* To provide administrative support to the Medical Director for Innovation and the Deputy Medical Director
Person specification
* Proven experience of dealing with external suppliers utilising negotiation skills where necessary
* Proven experience of providing administrative support, including diary management (minimum two years’ experience)
* Proven experience of supporting meetings, including minutes and action logs (minimum two years’ experience)
* Use of discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint
* Experience of organising and prioritising workload and working within deadlines
* Excellent written and oral communication skills are required in this post and will be required to communicate with a range of stakeholders, both clinical and non-clinical, internal and external at all levels
* Able to react to issues that arise with a solution-focussed attitude and calm approach
