Robert Walters are delighted to be partnering with a growing SME based in South Manchester as they look to appoint an experienced Financial Controller for 6 months on either an FTC or Day rate. The role is Hybrid - 1-2 days in the office Vs WFH.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage day-to-day finance operations across select group subsidiaries Oversee the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with UK and international accounting standards. Take ownership of the annual budget process and forecasting. Provide strategic financial partnership to business unit leaders, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis. Direct and manage the audit process for all group entities and review financial statements. Lead and develop a diverse finance team, providing technical accounting support and mentoring. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, liaising with auditors, tax professionals, and service providers. Enhance group reporting structures and improve cash flow reporting.
Successful Candidate Profile ACA, ACCA or ACMA qualified. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Finance & Accounting leadership role. Strong knowledge of statutory accounting, and audit processes. Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial control in a fast-paced environment. Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail. Commercially aware and able to influence senior stakeholders.* Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
