An exciting opportunity has arisen within Community Learning and Development (CLD) for a Homelink Worker.
Working within the Community Learning & Development team, you will be responsible for the engagement of families within North Lanarkshire with a focus on birth to 3 years. You will deliver a range of community-based interventions that allows for better understanding of child development, wellbeing and play and raises awareness of services available within local communities.
In particular there will be emphasis on work with vulnerable families and communities, the GIRFEC pathway and the development of early interventions and strategies.
An enthusiastic and motivated individual, you will have knowledge of current national and local developments, as well as good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team collaboratively with other services and organisations.
The post holder will also monitor and evaluate services provided through effective planning and contribute to the reporting requirements and the wider evaluation of the CLD service.
The post is funded in the first instance until 31st March, with the possibility of further funding.
You must have relevant qualifications at SCQF level 8 in Community Learning and Development or an equivalent discipline.
You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member through Disclosure Scotland and obtain a satisfactory membership check prior to commencing in this role.
