About the Role
As Nursery Manager, you will lead the daily running of our nursery, ensuring it remains a safe, stimulating and enriching space where children thrive. You'll inspire and support your team to deliver high-quality EYFS-aligned education and care within an Islamic Ethos, while ensuring the nursery runs smoothly, meets all regulatory requirements and continues to grow.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead and support a team of skilled early years educators, ensuring consistent high standards in teaching and care
* Uphold our Islamic ethos alongside EYFS requirements, embedding a strong culture of child-led, independent learning
* Maintain a strong safeguarding culture, ensuring all staff are confident and proactive in protecting children's welfare
* Oversee recruitment, induction, training, supervision and appraisal of all staff
* Ensure all policies and procedures are followed, including GDPR, health & safety and safer recruitment
* Manage day-to-day operations including staffing rotas, resources, budgets, fees and administrative duties
* Build positive partnerships with families, acting as a point of contact and support
* Liaise confidently with Ofsted, the Local Authority and other professionals
* Promote and market the nursery to ensure occupancy levels remain strong
About You
We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to child-centred, respectful care and education. You'll be a confident leader with a calm, proactive approach, ready to guide a team and build on our vision. You will be committed to the tarbiyah ( personal development) of our young learners
Essential:
* Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or higher (e.g. EYE, NVQ, CACHE)
* Experience as a Nursery Manager in a high-quality early years setting
* A strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding practices and Ofsted requirements
* Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
* Confidence with budgets, policies and managing nursery operations
Desirable:
* Valid paediatric first aid and safeguarding certificates
* Working knowledge of GDPR and safe recruitment
* Enthusiasm for continuous improvement and reflective practice

Salary: minimum wage to £14.00 /hour
