Overview
Bid Writer (open to remote applicants who are willing to do some travel) – role based with NHS-focused bid work in the public sector. The role is with a company that provides translation and interpreting services to the public sector, predominantly the NHS.
This role can be hybrid (2 days in Birmingham for applicants within 50 miles) or remote with travel to the office 1-2 times per month for applicants further afield. More office attendance may be required in the initial month while getting up to speed. Salary is £35,000 - £50,000 depending on experience plus uncapped commission.
Duties and responsibilities
* Identify upcoming opportunities through tender sites
* Collaborate with departmental teams to identify strengths and create winning bids
* Review past tenders and identify areas for improvement to create winning bids
* Search for and participate in engagement events (MEQs, RFQs)
* Anticipate, research and prepare materials for future bids to streamline bid processes
* Apply winning techniques and principles to create successful tenders
* Evaluate unsuccessful bids, interpret feedback, and address it to improve future submissions
* Create a glossary of responses/bid library and establish a streamlined bid process
* Manage bid pipelines to ensure opportunities align with targets
* Support the marketing team to write content for target markets

Requirements
* Bid writer with healthcare bid writing experience and strong knowledge of NHS procurement processes
* Excellent written skills, well-organised, able to use AI to improve bids, and digitally savvy
