Renowned for lending their expertise to an exciting range of projects across the landscape architecture, planning, and civil engineering fields, they are currently searching for a skilled, enthusiastic Principal Civil Engineer with extensive knowledge of infrastructure design, who is willing to win, manage, and successfully deliver an array of challenging projects across the region. You will have a genuine hand in establishing and leading a team of design professionals, based near the picturesque, green city of Dunfermline.

Responsibilities for the role of Principal Civil Engineer include:
* Leading many high:profile design projects and developments
* Managing the day:to:day running of projects, from inception through to successful delivery and implementation
* Providing mentorship and support to colleagues as they progress within the company, overseeing their Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
* Building and maintaining important professional relationships with clients and other stakeholders
* Preparing, checking, and submitting technical documents, including reports, drawings, calculations, risk assessments, and more
* Subscribing to and promoting company policies, procedures, and best practice at all times
* Enforcing the appropriate health and safety standards and regulations, setting examples
* Contributing to the companys business development strategies, acting as a trusted representative at client meetings, site visits, and other events
Required skills and experience for the role of Principal Civil Engineer include:
* A UK Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering (or a cognate discipline)
* Possess Chartered Status with a recognised Professional Body (e.g., ICE)
* Extensive experience in an infrastructure design role, within a UK:based consultancy setting
* Demonstrable experience of working with infrastructure (particularly drainage and highways), housing developments, and energy projects
* Experience of earthworks design and drainage network modelling
* Proficient in the use of various software packages (to include Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, etc.)
* Considerable experience of writing, checking, and amending reports and other technical documents for submission
* Experience of managing people and projects within the industry
* Prior experience of managing client and stakeholder relations, influencing Business Development (BD)
* Outstanding organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Principal Civil Engineer include:
: A UK Masters Degree (or equivalent qualification) in a cognate discipline
: Experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments
: Experience of preparing Transport Assessments
: Experience of working in a public:facing role
