Occupational Therapist
Bestwood Village School – Nottingham NG6 8TL
Salary: Up to £53,200 FTE DOE
Hours: 22.5 hours per week, 3 days a week (days to be confirmed)
Contract: Permanent (term time only)
Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively with the education team to deliver bespoke occupational therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who have experienced developmental trauma, are neurodivergent or have socioeconomic and mental health needs.
* Hold an occupational therapy caseload under the guidance of a designated clinical supervisor and Lead Clinician.
* Contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
* Document clinical progress and write clear and concise reports.
* Apply the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working and adhere to professional and governing body standards.
Qualifications
* Recognised occupational therapy degree (SI desirable).
* Valid HCPC registration.
* Registered member of RCOT.
* Relevant experience providing occupational therapy services within a similar setting.
* Experience working with neurodivergent and/or learning difficulty and/or socio‑emotional and mental health difficulties.
* Knowledge of OT theory and practical application to support independence.
* Experience of multi‑professional work with teams or services.
* Ability to work independently, be flexible and confident in a school environment.
* Clear and concise report‑writing skills.
* Interest in sensory integration or sensory‑informed practice (SI training desirable).
