Grounds Maintenance Operative – South ManchesterLocation: South ManchesterEmployer: Housing Association (via Service Care Solutions)Hours: 35 hours per week (Cold Season) | 45 hours per week (Warm Season)Pay: £15.51 Per hour PAYE | £19.90 Per hour LTD inc HolidayDuration: 6 MonthsService Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a respected Housing Association based in Manchester for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to support the delivery of environmental and grounds maintenance services across the South Manchester area. This is a great opportunity for an individual with experience in grounds maintenance who enjoys working outdoors and contributing to the upkeep of residential communities.The RoleAs a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of landscaping and grounds upkeep tasks to ensure communal outdoor areas are maintained to a high standard for residents.Key Responsibilities
* Carry out grass cutting, hedge trimming, strimming and general grounds maintenance duties across multiple sites.
* Maintain communal green spaces, pathways and landscaped areas within housing estates.
* Assist with seasonal maintenance work including leaf clearance, pruning and planting.
* Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety guidelines.
* Use and maintain grounds maintenance tools and machinery correctly.
* Support the Grounds Maintenance Team Leader in completing daily schedules of work.
* Report any maintenance issues, hazards or damage identified during site visits.
* Ensure work areas are left clean, tidy and safe for residents.
* Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver a high-quality service.
Requirements
* Previous experience within grounds maintenance, landscaping or environmental services.
* Ability to use grounds maintenance equipment such as strimmers, mowers and hedge cutters.
* Good understanding of health and safety practices in outdoor maintenance work.
* Reliable, hardworking and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Full UK Driving License
