Are you motivated by making a real difference to the lives of children, families and survivors of domestic abuse and those who may need children social care support? We are seeking a Partnerships Commissioning Support Officer to join our Children and Families Service, where you will play a vital role in planning and supporting commissioning and procurement activity that directly shapes local services.
About the Role
This is a varied and rewarding role, working at the heart of partnership commissioning. You will support the full commissioning cycle - from contributing to the needs assessment and evidence gathering through to procurement, evaluation and contract approval. A key focus of the role is supporting delivery of statutory responsibilities under the Domestic Abuse Act 2021, working closely with colleagues across Public Health, Law and Governance, Community Safety, Finance and operational Children and Family Services.
You will contribute to the development of service specifications, options appraisals and reports for senior decision makers, while also supporting data analysis, performance reporting and quality assurance activity. The role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including service providers and survivors of domestic abuse, helping to ensure commissioned services are effective, inclusive and evidence led.
You will attend specific board meetings, groups and management meetings to confidently share commissioning updates as well as performance against service level agreements.
If you have strong analytical skills, experience of partnership working, and the confidence to support complex commissioning and procurement activity, this role offers the chance to develop your career while making a meaningful impact within a supportive, values driven organisation.
An enhanced DBS check is required for this post.
