Commercial Development Manager

My client in Hatfield is looking for a commercially driven builder, not just a manager, to turn a solid foundation into a powerhouse.

Supported by the stability and resources of an established £40m facilities management group, you’ll hit the ground running with immediate access to 350 warm leads. The brief is simple: win the work, grow the revenue, and own the results.

As you expand the footprint and recruit your own delivery team, you will be rewarded like a business owner. Beyond a competitive base salary, you’ll benefit from a significant profit-sharing scheme linked directly to your division’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Strategic Growth

* Systematically convert a high-volume pipeline of 350 warm leads into active service contracts.

* Proactively hunt for new opportunities through cold outreach, professional networking, and strategic relationship management.

* Target and secure contracts across key verticals, including education (schools/colleges), commercial real estate, and public sector estates.

* Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of recurring revenue through long-term window cleaning agreements.

* Lead the end-to-end sales process, from initial contact to negotiating and closing profitable service level agreements (SLAs).

* Foster lasting partnerships with key decision-makers, including Caretakers, Site Managers, and Facilities Management teams.

Business Leadership & Operations

* Take full ownership of the window cleaning division, evolving it into a high-performing, standalone business unit.

* Collaborate directly with the Managing Director to define and execute the commercial strategy and long-term vision.

* Build out the operational infrastructure and capability as the contract portfolio expands.

* Recruit, mentor, and lead operational teams to ensure regional coverage and service excellence.

* Drive commercial performance against revenue targets and growth KPIs.

* Previous experience in the window cleaning or facilities industry is a plus but not a requirement.
