Sharp Consultancy are partnering with a highly innovative, technology-led organisation operating across the UK and Europe. With a strong reputation in their field and continued growth, the business is now looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join its collaborative finance team, reporting into the Finance Director.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant either making their first move from practice into industry or second move in industry, seeking the next step in their career.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Play a key role in delivering accurate and insightful monthly management accounts across multiple entities, including full balance sheet reconciliations, P&L, cash flow, and meaningful variance analysis.
* Take ownership of the intercompany process, building strong relationships across the group to ensure balances are aligned and issues are resolved efficiently.
* Help shape high-quality reporting packs for Senior Leadership and Board meetings, providing clear and valuable financial insight.
* Drive the preparation of dynamic rolling cash flow forecasts across multiple currencies, supporting informed decision-making.
* Manage a range of external reporting requirements, including VAT, corporation tax support, and statutory submissions.
* Be actively involved in the year-end process, supporting statutory accounts preparation and working closely with external auditors.
* Get involved in a variety of ad hoc projects and initiatives, contributing to continuous improvement and adding real value to the finance function.
About You
* ACA or ACCA qualified.
* Commercially minded, with the ability to apply accounting judgement in a business context.
* Exposure to multi-entity structures and/or international clients gained through practice experience.
