Overview
What will you be doing? The Global Projects Centre (GPC) Engineering is Subsea 7's centre of excellence for the execution of its largest projects worldwide. Based within the Design & Analysis group of GPC Engineering, you will be part of the Materials, Welding, and Coating (MWC) discipline and work on large EPCI projects, FEEDs, and tenders. This is a position for a Contractor. This role provides exciting opportunities to be involved throughout all stages of projects with activities related to Flexibles, rigid flowlines, PIP, Subsea structures, offshore/onshore fabrication and installation.
Within The Materials/Welding/Coating Discipline, You Will
* Provide technical support to projects and other disciplines within Subsea 7 with regard to Cathodic Protection (CP).
* Prepare CP design report for subsea flowlines, risers, and structures.
* Perform CP calculations for subsea flowlines, risers, and structures in accordance with international standards.
* Prepare anode specifications and Material Take Off (MTO) for tenders and projects.
* Review and clarify anode Suppliers’ offers and perform technical evaluation of the offers.
* Be the single point of contact for project teams for cathodic protection.
* Perform corrosion assessment and CO2 corrosion rate modelling of pipelines.
* Participate in meetings with Clients, Vendors and Suppliers, and interface with Client representatives as required for resolving technical issues.
* Provide support to fabrication and installation teams, Quality, and Supply Chain Management (SCM) departments.
* Ensure effective communication is maintained with Clients, Suppliers, and other disciplines within the organisation.
What experience would we like you to have?
* Demonstrates commitment to and promotes Subsea7 visions and values.
* Experienced in CP system design and calculation, preferably extensive years experience in the subsea Oil and Gas industry.
* Experienced in providing support to procurement of anode and in the review of Suppliers’ procedures and documentation.
* Assumes responsibility for CP project related targets and deliverables.
* Good understanding of corrosion mechanisms for subsea systems.
* Communicates effectively and articulately at all levels, internally and externally.
* Demonstrates positive attitude and flexibility in work approach.
* Is risk focused and demonstrates good analytical skills when making decisions.
* Demonstrates professional approach when representing Subsea7, builds and enhances relationships with client and manages interfaces effectively.
* Shows commitment to self-improvement, education and development.
* Demonstrate ability to manage interfaces with multi projects and functions in a multicultural environment.
* Have a degree in Materials science or a related Engineering discipline.
* Preferably, holds ISO/NACE certifications on CP.
