Road Freight Operator Location: Bradford Hours: Monday to Friday Salary: Up to £40,000 DEO
An established and growing international freight forwarder is seeking a proactive European Road Freight Planner to join their Bradford-based team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with proven experience in road freight operations who enjoys taking ownership of the full transport process across Europe.
You'll play a key role in planning and coordinating vehicle movements, managing customs requirements, and ensuring every shipment is delivered smoothly and efficiently. A good understanding of the German, French, and Benelux markets is highly desirable.
What You'll Be Doing
* Plan and oversee daily European road freight operations from booking to final delivery
* Communicate with customers, hauliers, and overseas agents to coordinate shipments
* Prepare and check documentation for customs clearance and compliance
* Maintain accurate shipment records and system updates
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and service growth
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in European freight forwarding (import/export) for a UK Based forwarder
* Knowledge of customs formalities and documentation
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
* A positive, problem-solving mindset and willingness to take initiative
