Do you have the passion and leadership skills to drive success in one of our most prosperous charity shops? We're looking for a Lead Manager to oversee and support our Rothbury shop, helping to raised vital funds for animal welfare.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Lead Retail Manager, you'll take charge of Shop Manager(s), Retail Assistant(s) and volunteers, ensuring the store delivers excellent customer service, maximises income, and upholds the values of the RSPCA. You'll provide coaching, guidance, and performance management to the whole team, while driving sales, improving operations, and strengthening our excellent community links.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage, mentor, and support Shop Managers and Retail Assistants to achieve income and profit targets.
* Oversee shop operations, including stock, merchandising, and financial procedures.
* Monitor performance and implement strategies to increase sales and donations.
* Ensure compliance with RSPCA policies, health & safety, and charity retail legislation.
* Champion volunteer involvement, making sure all team members feel valued and supported.
* Build strong relationships with donors, customers, and local communities.
About You
* At least 3 years experience in retail management (charity retail experience desirable).
* Strong leader with the ability to motivate and develop managers and teams.
* Commercially minded with proven success in achieving sales growth.
* Excellent communicator, confident in building community relationships.
* Flexible and able to travel twice yearly to our Hexham shop.
* Passionate about the mission of the RSPCA.

Hours: 3 days per week (22.5 hours) rising to 4 days (30 hours) after successful completion of 6 months probationary period.
