Southern Self Drive is looking for a skilled *Vehicle Technician* to join our dedicated team in the *Portsmouth* area.*Key Responsibilities:** Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles* Diagnose faults using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment* Replace or repair faulty components as needed* Perform road tests to ensure repairs have been successful* Fit and service vehicle accessories* Conduct service checks and MOT preparation* Complete routine maintenance tasks such as oil and filter changes* Follow maintenance schedules and checklists* Work collaboratively as part of a team* Communicate effectively with colleagues and management*What We’re Looking For:** NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a workshop environment* Full UK driving licence (clean or with up to 3 points; 1 non-fault accident may be considered)* Strong technical knowledge of motor vehicles* Familiarity with diagnostic tools and scanners* Some knowledge of hybrid vehicles and safe maintenance procedures* Good communication and organisational skills* Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic* Own set of toolsJob Type: Full-timePay: From £18.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* Company events* Company pension* Employee discount* Free parkingApplication question(s):* Do you have any points or penalties on your licence?* What catagories do you hold on your licence e.g. B, C1, D1 etc.Licence/Certification:* NVQ Level 3 Qualification (preferred)* Driving Licence (preferred)Work Location: In person
