Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team on a self employed basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to groundworks, including site preparation and excavation. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
* Carry out site preparation and excavation tasks as directed by the site supervisor.
* Assist in the installation of drainage systems, foundations, and other utilities.
* Operate basic groundworking machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all materials are stored correctly.
* Follow health and safety regulations at all times to promote a safe working environment.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
* Report any issues or concerns to the site supervisor promptly.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in groundworks is essential
* Ability to operate basic machinery and tools safely; relevant certifications are a plus.
* Strong physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
* Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* A valid driving licence is required
