Beth Israel Deaconess (BID) Plymouth is seeking a full-timeBoard-Certified or Board-Eligible Pulmonologist to joinourmedical teamat a well-established community hospital in one of Massachusetts’ most desirable coastal suburbs. BID Plymouth is a 175-bed community hospitallocatedwithin 45 miles of downtown Boston.
In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with respiratory conditions,utilizingadvanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques to enhance patient outcomes. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans and contribute to ongoing research initiatives aimed at improving respiratory health.
Responsibilities
1. Conductthorough evaluations and diagnostics for patients with pulmonary disorders including asthma, COPD, and interstitial lung disease
2. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans,utilizingevidence-based practices and the latest advancements in pulmonary medicine
3. Perform procedures such as bronchoscopyandthoracentesisas well as interpretationof pulmonaryfunction tests.
4. Collaborate with other specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care and management.
5. Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
6. The primary role for this position is in the pulmonaryspecialtywithoptionalroleasan intensivist(1:5 weekly call schedule)intheBID - Plymouth Critical CareUnit.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
7. MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
8. Board certification in Pulmonary Medicine
9. Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered care
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
11. Proficiencyin interpreting advanced pulmonary diagnostic tests
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
12. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
13. Experience with telemedicine platforms for hybrid patient consultations
