About the role
To support growth, we’re looking for a Senior Finance Executive to join us at our Portsmouth office. The Senior Finance Executive will be responsible for overseeing the full loan lifecycle across transactional finance activities, making sure everything runs smoothly, accurately, and in a well‑controlled way as the business grows. They will act as the Finance lead for the loan management system, ensuring data is reliable, reporting is meaningful, and improvements are identified and delivered in partnership with other internal teams.
The Senior Finance Executive will also lead the transactional team, setting clear expectations and building a strong, accountable team culture. By prioritising effectively and developing team capability, they will help to create a resilient team that can adapt, improve processes, and consistently deliver a high‑quality service.
Required skills
* Proven experience in management accounting within a similar fast‑paced and commercially focused environment
* Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyse financial data, prepare reports, and manage complex spreadsheets efficiently and accurately
* Experience of managing, supporting, and developing team members, with the ability to delegate effectively, monitor performance, and foster a collaborative working environment
* Capability to remain calm under pressure and apply effective problem‑solving skills
* Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy while working at pace, effectively managing multiple priorities in a demanding environment
* Strong operational leadership skills with the ability to drive performance, support business objectives, and contribute to continuous process improvement
* Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency across financial reporting and operational tasks
* Part‑qualified/Qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
