A vacancy has arisen for a part time role within our Community Mental Health Services Team based in Maidenhead.

Working 30 hrs per week, the postholder will support the effective operation of the at place service by providing organisational, administrative and secretarial support.

The role requires the post holder to be onsite for the full 30hrs and although the primary function is more of a secretarial role supporting our community Psychiatrist. There is a need for the postholder to support all other areas within the service.

FOR SECONDMENT ROLES ONLY - If the secondment role becomes permanent, the successful candidate may be offered the permanent position.


Job responsibilities

* To be the central point of contact and maintain relationships across the service, assisting the team in the development and maintenance of efficient and effective office procedures.
* Ensure the efficient and accurate recording of data on all electronic systems.
* Type confidential correspondence, reports and other documentation to a high standard within agreed timescales.
* Support and maintain health, safety and security across the service.
* Undertake any ad‑hoc duties as required by the Service Manager.
* Effective communication and liaison within and across a range of different departments and partner agencies including the public and service users on a range of different matters.
* Ability to use a range of IT systems and platforms to assist the management team in meeting service objectives.


Person Specification

* NHS Experience
* Using Microsoft platforms & systems
* Secretarial Experience
* ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence)/computer software qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience of using a variety of software programmes/packages
* Knowledge of administration and/or office procedures and evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
* Previous knowledge and experience of working in a busy office and/or customer care environment, undertaking a full range of administrative duties
* Ability to work flexibly as required, with the ability to travel independently between locations to fulfil the requirements of the post

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
