Overview
Are you an autonomous registered Mental Health Nurse looking for a new role in West Oxfordshire? North and West AMHT have an opportunity for a Band 6 RMN to join a well-established Multi-disciplinary Team on a full-time basis. The service has a new leadership team structure with team leaders in place to support an improved culture. The role offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills, including mentoring, supervising, and developing the careers and skills of others.
The MDT includes medics, psychological therapists, social workers, OTs, RMNs, support workers, and embedded third-sector workers to support employment, housing, and social needs. The team is committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a demanding and often complex caseload, with a focus on listening and responding as a team and piloting new care approaches.
You will need to be able to travel around the county to offer interventions to patients and carers, so access to transport is essential.
Main duties
* Coordinate the care for patients with severe and enduring mental health diagnoses within the treatment function of the AMHT.
* Work autonomously with a caseload of patients, engaging with them and offering the recommended treatment and support.
* Provide community mental health care and assess and plan treatment with service users.
* Assess and manage risk, including safeguarding processes.
* Opportunities for team working and facilitating groups such as MBT/CBT based interventions.
The AMHT provides an assessment and treatment function with a rota covering shifts from 07:00 to 21:00, seven days a week. The successful candidate will be required to work mainly 09:00–17:00 Monday to Friday, with flexibility to cover out-of-hours shifts when required.

Essential
* Registered Professional Qualification (Mental Health Nurse/OT)
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) portfolio
* Experience in a multidisciplinary team
* Experience in community care with clinical expertise in mental health
* Understanding of clinical risk assessment and management
* IT literate
* Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Desirable
* Experience supervising/managing staff
