Adecco is pleased to be recruiting for a Trainer to join Dorset Police. You would be based at their HQ in Winfrith.
This post is office-based, working office hours, Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week. The pay rate is £17.24 per hour.
Based at Winfrith, however, you may need to have the flexibility to travel to their premises in Ferndown too. Please note, this post is temporary until March 2026.
The purpose of the role:
* To design and deliver training and development interventions to ensure that the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes, and behavior of police officers, staff, and other members of the force meet the requirements and priorities of the force.
* This role will focus on delivering initial and a range of force training programs across defined geographic areas, as well as specific/targeted training for groups of staff. Posts are based in specified geographic areas across Dorset, Devon, and Cornwall.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate, prepare annual training schedules, design, develop, and deliver training and development across various packages. This may include initial and force training.
* All training posts are generic in nature, and there may be a requirement to deliver training packages as a facilitator or lecturer to meet the force's demands in other areas when appropriate.
* Design and deliver training packages for on-the-job and off-the-job training, including written materials, classroom sessions, and learning exercises, utilizing all available technology and adopting innovative delivery methods where appropriate.
* Identify individual training needs of students and the occupational and organizational training needs of the Force (training needs analysis). Meet and discuss with line management and senior police and support staff to assess training needs of individuals, departments, and divisions. Assess the skills and abilities of trainees against relevant National Occupational Standards and Authorized Practice fairly and accurately.
Please note, due to Police criteria, you must have lived in the UK for at least the last 5 years continuously. Less than this will not be considered.
