Job Description
Preferred Qualifications:
* High School diploma or equivalent
* Two years supporting customers
* Bilingual skills
Responsibilities:
1. Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups, including testing and surgeries
2. Assist with scheduling templates
3. Answer phones, triage calls, respond to patient requests, take messages
4. Check-in patients, verify demographic and insurance info
5. Support revenue cycle activities like registration and insurance verification
6. Collect copayments
7. Prepare medical records and input data into EMR
8. Monitor patient flow and communicate delays
9. Assist with billing and reconciliation
10. Perform general office tasks: faxing, filing, mailing, supplies, calendar, mail
11. Support department physicians with clerical tasks
12. Participate in performance improvement projects
Physical Requirements
* Frequent sitting, occasional standing, lifting 10-15 lbs
* Exposure to dust and office discomforts
* Manual dexterity for keyboarding
* Ability to see and read reports on screen
* Hear instructions from staff
