Are you passionate about workplace safety and ready to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We’re looking for a proactive Health & Safety Advisor to join a dynamic operations team on a 12-month fixed-term basis.
This is your chance to step into a hands-on role where your work will directly influence safety, compliance, and culture on the shop floor.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Working closely with the Health & Safety Manager, you’ll take ownership of practical safety initiatives, including:
* Investigating incidents and identifying opportunities for improvement
* Conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments
* Supporting induction and safety training for staff and contractors
* Coaching supervisors and managers on H&S best practices
* Driving safety campaigns and continuous improvement projects
* Deputising for the H&S Manager when required
What We’re Looking For:
We value people who take pride in their work and thrive in collaborative environments. To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally have:
* NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent Level 4 qualification)
* 1–2 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting
* IOSH Associate/Technical membership (or working towards it)
* Solid understanding of safety systems, audits, and legislative compliance
* Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills
* A meticulous approach and genuine commitment to keeping people safe
