New Reflexions - Children's Residential Care Worker

At New Reflexions, we believe in potential—not just experience. That's why we provide full training from day one, with no previous experience required.

We'll pay for you to gain your Level 3 and Level 5 qualifications, plus all the support and training you need to succeed.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our new services in Cumbria, one of which is a two bedded activity based children's Ofsted registered home where you will work with children in adventurous environments therefore you would need a love for the outdoors and also looking for those who hold national governing bodies awards as we deliver these though our AALA licenced centre.

We are also opening a special school for those children with learning difficulties. This home will be registered for six children residential with the addition of days pupils, a rewarding role for those who have no or existing experience. The children will benefit from having the opportunity for horse riding and outdoor activities as part of their bespoke curriculum.

Company Overview

New Reflexions is a childcare organisation dedicated to offering care, education, and therapy services to young people who have encountered trauma, leading to emotional and behavioural challenges. Specifically, the New Reflexions Children's Residential Service provides therapeutic placements, catering to individuals up to the ages of 18 years, for both short-term and long-term placements.

What You'll Do

As a vital part of our care team, you'll support vulnerable young people aged 8–18 with diverse emotional and behavioural needs or learning disabilities. Your role will include:

* Building nurturing, respectful relationships
* Supporting with daily routines like meals, hygiene, homework
* Encouraging independence, confidence, and self-worth
* Participating in school life and leading educational and life skills activities
* Responding calmly to challenging behaviour and emotional distress
* Supporting health and wellbeing needs, including safeguarding and personal care
* Creating a stable, safe, and homely environment in line with care plans
* Follow a shift pattern (with sleep-ins) and part-time options available (60, 90, or 120 hrs/month)

Essential Requirements
