We’re looking for a Sustainability Scheme Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping and growing our Carbon & Sustainability services. What you’ll do
4. Lead and manage our Sustainability Operations and Technical teams.
5. Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
6. Deliver high-quality service for clients, including large and high-profile organisations.
7. Support strategy implementation, including developing new services and enhancing existing ones.
8. Oversee regulatory and service-development projects.
9. Represent NQA at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
10. Engage with clients, consultants, agents, and our parent company to raise NQA’s profile.
What You’ll Bring
11. A degree (or equivalent) in environmental, sustainability, business management, or a related field.
12. At least 2 years’ certification or relevant industry experience.
13. Knowledge of sustainability and carbon verification schemes.
14. Completion (or commitment to complete) a Lead Auditor/Verifier course (EMS, EnMS, GHG or CoC/Supply Chain).
15. Strong leadership, people management, and customer service skills.
16. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational abilities.
Desirable: Experience in the TIC industry, project management, public speaking, and knowledge of standards such as ISO 14064-1, ISO 14068-1, PAS 2080, FSC/PEFC/RSPO CoC, ISO 20121, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001.

17. Reports to: Carbon & Sustainability Director
18. Direct reports: Audit Ops Team Manager (Sustainability), Report Review Team Manager (Sustainability), Technical Manager (Sustainability), and Supply Chain Technical Manager (external).
19. Location: Flexible (remote, office, or hybrid).
20. Travel: Required for client, stakeholder, and event engagements.
