Job description
The Kitchen Attendant/Till Operator will assist in the safe, hygienic and efficient operation of the hospitality facilities, and provide lecturers with practical help in the kitchen when necessary
Responsibilities
* Set up and maintain kitchen/service/customer areas in accordance with College procedures.
* Carry out general kitchen and dining room duties including washing up and clearing away equipment.
* Clean all kitchens and restaurant surfaces, including floors, equipment, food and other storage areas.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
* Have at least a Level 2 qualification in Food Hygiene or Food Preparation OR give a commitment that you will undertake a Level 2 qualification in Food Hygiene or Food Preparation within 6 months.
* Have one years relevant employment experience working in a catering environment e.g. Cafe, Coffee Shop or Kitchen, with duties including cleaning, cooking or till operation.
Desirable Skills
* Have employment experience of food preparation or cooking.
Further Information
The hours of work will not normally be less than 36 per week. The hours of duty which may be on any of the College sites will be such as laid down to meet the needs of the College and may include periods of duty after, as well as before 5.00 pm on any Monday to Friday.
