Job Overview
This post is for a Consultant Medical Oncologist with an interest in Melanoma, NMS and OTIS, based in Brighton but with a clinic in Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath, so must be prepared to travel between sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Outpatient clinical activity for general oncology inpatients and review of patients in the same-day emergency care unit.
* Participation in an out of hours oncology on‑call rota.
* Clinical leadership, MDT attendance and active participation.
* Medical student and registrar teaching.
* Outpatient clinics, MDM attendance, SACT prescribing.
* Clinical trials leadership and delivery.
* Acute Oncology team leadership and clinical management.
* Clinical administration generated from patients seen and liaison with other AHPs and primary care.
* Clinical governance meetings.
* Ward reviews when appropriate.
* Clinical leadership and research opportunities.
