Job Description
This is a key strategic role focused on leading the company’s expansion from a specialist lintel provider into a full-service structural steel provider. The Structural Design Engineer / Manager
will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and launch of a new range of structural steel products. Working across engineering, sales, and operations teams, the successful candidate will manage all aspects of product development, from initial planning and technical specification through to 3D design, structural analysis, fabrication, quality assurance, and market rollout.
A core part of the role will be delivering integrated, high-value solutions that meet the evolving needs of both new and existing customers. The Structural Design Engineer / Manager will play a central role in driving innovation, improving operational processes, and supporting the company’s ambition to become a full-service structural steel partner to the construction industry in Ireland and the UK.
The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with University of Limerick as part of the InterTradeIreland Innovation Boost Programme.
Interviews will be held approximately week commencing: 13/04/2026
·Degree in Civil / Structural / Built Environment.
·Chartered Engineer with Engineers Ireland, Institution of Civil Engineers, or similar
·Experience in 3D Modelling Software
·Must be legally entitled to work in Northern Ireland/UK and travel throughout the island of Ireland if required; if you do require a visa/work permit allowing you to work in Northern Ireland/UK you must upload a copy of it with your application.Failure to provide a relevant Visa/Work permit will result in your application not being considered.
·Knowledge of steel design principles and fabrication workshop operations.
·Knowledge of process development and implementation.
·Knowledge of all relevant compliance standards and regulations.
·Knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
·Excellent communication skills, ability to drive operational improvements and client relationship and stakeholder management.
