Development Engineer

Are you a creative thinker with a passion for product development? At Modus, we're seeking a dynamic and innovative engineer to join our team. Our ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in creating and developing contract furniture products from concept to manufacture.
Your main duties and responsibilities:

Collaborate with external design partners and operational teams to deliver innovative product solutions.
Create and control high-standard engineering and manufacturing drawings.
Liaise with clients and manage projects from prototype to production.
Produce CNC drawings/programmes for joinery and upholstery.
Develop technical specifications, SOPs, and quality standards for all products and packaging.
Drive lean production and engineering improvements for enhanced profitability.
Develop and maintain ERP database content using Winman software.
You should have:

1+ years' experience in manufacturing / product development, or similar.
Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD (preferably Autodesk suite).
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Understanding of modern manufacturing methods and Lean principles.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to manage changing priorities and demands.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Passionate, energetic, and a practical thinker.
Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems.
Experience in the workspace furniture sector (preferred but not essential)
