LUTON AND SURROUNDING AREAS
Hours: 6am-2pm and 1.30pm-9.30pm (alternating each week), Monday to Friday
Our client is a well-established and successful Greeting Cards manufacturer. They are currently looking to recruit a Foiling Operator to join their team. Reporting to the Head of Production, the client prefers candidates experienced with flat and fluted dies and multi-block jobs. Workload typically involves high makeready and low volume production.
Responsibilities include:
* Gaining a general understanding of greeting card publishing and the company's activities.
* Understanding how your department's activities interact with others and impact the company's reputation and profitability.
* Communicating clearly and supporting your colleagues and line manager.
* Seeking ways to improve processes and add value to the company.
* Sharing concerns and opportunities with your line manager.
* Proactively improving your performance and seeking support when needed.
* Raising concerns if you feel unsupported or unheard, including escalation when appropriate.
* Approaching work with honesty, commitment, and enthusiasm.
Your individual responsibilities as a Foiling Operator include:
* Operating the Saroglia, Gietz, and Bobst SP76-BM machines.
* Maintaining equipment as per the Maintenance Schedule and recording maintenance activities.
* Managing consumable stocks and reordering via SAP purchase orders.
* Completing work to company standards promptly, minimizing waste.
* Entering accurate data into SAP for purchase orders and production confirmations.
* Following the production schedule.
* Reporting faults or issues promptly.
* Adhering to all Health and Safety and Standard Operating Procedures, reporting incidents as required.
* Assisting with training and supervising team members when appropriate.
* Willingness to train on additional machinery as needed.
