Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in various welding techniques, including stick welding. This role involves assembling and fabricating metal components to meet precise specifications, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.
Responsibilities
* Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components using hand tools and power tools.
* Perform welding tasks, primarily using stick welding techniques, to join metal parts securely.
* Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine project requirements and specifications.
* Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet industry standards and client expectations.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Utilise basic maths skills to measure, cut, and shape materials accurately.
* Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in fabrication and welding, with a strong understanding of sheet metal work.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the fabrication process.
* Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
* A valid welding certification is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
