Anderson Knight are seeking a qualified and experienced accountant to join our clients growing finance team on an exciting 6-month project-based role, with potential to transition into a permanent position. Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the implementation of grant-related activities within the business, including application processes, compliance monitoring, liaising with auditors, and managing claim submissions and cash recovery.
* Work closely with the Head of Business Planning & Analysis to ensure appropriate financial modelling is in place and support the business in submitting new grant claims.
* Provide key support to the finance team on ongoing R&D, fundraising, and forecasting processes.
* Contribute to various finance and business optimisation projects as directed by the CFO.
* Support BAU finance workstreams, assisting both the Head of Group Finance and Head of BP&A with day-to-day activities and projects.
* Offer additional transaction support and provide holiday cover for key finance team functions.
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or CA) or equivalent.
* Strong analytical skills and a creative problem-solving approach.
* Proficient in Excel, with experience in basic financial modelling.
* A proactive self-starter with the ability to manage projects independently and deliver results with minimal supervision.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Confident communicator with the ability to present financial insights to non-financial teams.
* A team player with a collaborative approach, comfortable working in a small, hands-on finance team.
Additional Requirements
* Immediate availability to start the role.
* Strong attention to detail and a high level of organisational skills.
* Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel.
