We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to join the Clinical Research Delivery team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. This is an ideal role for an experienced Nurse who would enjoy learning with our flexible, dynamic, collaborative award winning team.
The Research Nurse co-ordinates the day to day management of the research portfolio, requiring a flexible approach with good communication, clinical and organisational skills. We will provide continuing education and support your professional development to enable you to fulfil the role and develop your career.
We work across the trust in Amersham, High Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville sites.
The new Research and Innovation centre at Stoke Mandeville hospital is a fully equipped, purpose-built facility designed to be a welcoming environment for staff and research participants.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for coordinating the day to day management of research studies, offering our patients the opportunity to participate in clinical trials, collecting & processing samples, monitoring patient safety and maintaining accurate confidential records. You will work collaboratively with clinical colleagues to champion research.
To fulfil this role, you will require good communication skills, both oral and written. You should be able to work as a team member and as an autonomous practitioner. You will be expected to be flexible, organised, have good computer skills, enjoy attention to detail and demonstrate good clinical skills. Patient safety and advocacy is central to this role.
You will work within the Trust policies and guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures, Trial Protocols, NMC guidelines, Research Governance Framework and ICH-Good Clinical Practice.
