About the apprenticeship
Duties
• All computers, laptops and tablet devices
• Copiers and Printers
• VOIP telephony
• Software installations
• Servers (Windows OS)
• All networking types

• Door Access Control Security
• Support for all staff and students
Job Responsibilities:
To become competent in the following activities by the end of the Apprenticeship period:
• Setting up equipment for staff and external speakers when required
• Assist with training via INSET for all teaching and support school staff
• Make software available to appropriate users and ensure software is installed correctly
• Ensure all software is up to date (Windows updates, etc)
• Maintain computer peripheral equipment, such as keyboards, mice and Smartboards
• Assist in the deployment of computer hardware around the school
• Repair faults as listed on the School Helpdesk
• Set up, maintain and remove user network accounts where appropriate
• Carry out network maintenance tasks (i.e. Replace Network points and patch leads)

• To support staff and student requests and ensure satisfaction
• To communicate with a range of end-users as required
• To assist staff with any ICT request, to allow them to carry out their duties
• To work with other members of the team to carry out their duties
• To undertake and complete all training and development experiences as required
Renumeration and Benefits:
• Basic Salary of £24,413.00 per annum
• Onsite Parking
• 27 Days Holiday (+ bank holidays)
Requirements
Qualifications
GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade A*-C/Level 2: Desirable
GCSE (or equivalent) in an IT subject: Desirable
