Senior National Account Manager – DIY & Home Improvement
Hybrid (Nottingham 1 day/week)
£75,000 + Car Allowance
Are you a senior-level account manager with deep experience in UK retail—particularly the DIY channel? This is a high-impact role with a market-leading manufacturer that dominates its category and supplies major names across the UK retail landscape.
We're hiring a Senior National Account Manager to take full ownership of a portfolio that includes some of the UK's biggest home improvement retailers. This is a key position in a well-established, privately owned business known for innovation, quality, and strong customer relationships.
You'll be responsible for driving growth across the UK DIY channel, working directly with high-profile accounts like B&Q, Wickes, and others. The role offers genuine autonomy, strong backing from a commercial leadership team, and the chance to shape long-term strategy in a category that touches millions of homes.
What you'll do:
* Own and grow a portfolio of major DIY retail accounts.
* Deliver against commercial targets while deepening customer relationships.
* Build and execute joint business plans with key UK retailers.
* Lead promotional planning, range reviews, and in-store execution.
* Collaborate closely with operations, marketing, and NPD teams to deliver for your customers.
* Act as a senior commercial voice in internal forums and contribute to wider channel strategy.
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience managing top-tier UK retail accounts—ideally in DIY, home improvement, or adjacent categories.
* Strong commercial acumen and a results-first mindset.
* Comfortable navigating complex retailers and negotiating at head office level.
* Able to work with autonomy and drive change in a fast-moving environment.
* Credible, down-to-earth, and skilled at building lasting customer partnerships.
The offer:
* Salary up to £75,000 + car allowance
* Hybrid working – typically 1 day per week in Nottingham
* High-visibility role within a successful, product-led business
* Ownership of a strategically critical retail portfolio
If you're ready to step into a senior commercial role where you can truly make your mark in the UK retail space, we'd love to hear from you.
