We are searching high and low, in the dales and moors for a Social Worker (grade 8-9 pay scale) to work within our social care/health integrated mental health team based at Baghill house in Pontefract.
We are sorry to lose one of our wonderful team colleagues, but they are moving on to develop their skills in a more health focused role
If you want to work for possibly the best social work mental health team in the UK we could be for you. We work with a range of wonderful clients aged between 18-65 who have a diagnosed mental health condition and support them with their goals, wants and needs in a Care Act focussed way to help them to become more independent and participate in the community in which they live. As a team we have a can do, positive attitude and if this is what you are looking for then we could be for you.
Responsibilities
* You will manage a caseload in accordance with the directorate
* You will promote and develop collaborative working with stakeholders including health and social care professionals and the voluntary sector.
* You will prepare a range of reports, as appropriate, in accordance with policies and procedures.
* You will be professionally curious and seek to use technology to enhance our residents\' lives and think out of the box to help them to become independent and part of their community whilst being mindful of the budgetary constraints.
Essential requirements
* Degree in Social Work, or relevant Social Work qualifications recognised by the Central Council for Education & Training in Social Work/Registration with Social Work England
* Ability to develop and sustain effective working relationships with service users, carers, and groups
* Excellent communication and engagement skills with a commitment to improving service delivery.
