Writtle University College invites applications for a Conservation Education and Engagement Lecturer to join our Department of Animal Science. The role involves delivering innovative teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including MSc Conservation Education and Engagement and BSc(Hons) Conservation and Community Engagement.
The successful candidate will have expertise in social sciences such as education, anthropology, anthrozoology, psychology, or sociology, with an interest in conservation. A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (PhD preferred) and a teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one are required. Experience in academic or industry research and qualitative methods is advantageous.
The role includes designing, supporting, assessing, and evaluating teaching at various levels. The department collaborates with sectors like wildlife conservation, zoos, and animal industries, with established links to organizations like Essex Wildlife Trust, Essex County Parks, RSPB, and Colchester Zoo.
